Collagens are extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins that support the structural and
biomechanical integrity of many tissues. Procollagen-lysine, 2-oxoglutarate 5-dioxygenase 2
(PLOD2) encodes the only lysyl hydroxylase (LH) isoform that specifically hydroxylates
