MEDICINE, 1797. 87 unufually warm, and his pulfe did not exceed eighty-four ftrokes in the
minute. He was frequently fick, and threw up a vifcid matter, of a bitterilh tafte, but with fome
fweetnefs. After eating, he com-plained of a pain of his ftomach, which in general continued
about half an hour. He complained of a conftant pain in the region of the kidneys, extending
forwards, but more particularly in the right, in which there feemed to be a greater fulnefs and
tendernefs to the touch. There was likewife a retraction of the tefticle, with a weak-nefs, fenfe …
